As the days get shorter and the nights get longer, there is nothing better to do than to wrap up warm and enjoy your home. We have a few tips on how you can create some cosy looks in your space this Winter.

Grey Tones

Grey tones are taking over from neutrals this Winter season. Using these hues within your space will give you a great base to play around with pops of colour that will add warmth to your space. If you want to keep it minimal, continue with the neutrals, but instead experiment with different textures to add depth to your home. Different fabrics can completely transform the feel of a room, whether that be with a chunky knitted throw, or soft, luxurious cottons used on your sofa.

Natural Elements

Preserved flower bouquets and pampas grass are part of the natural interior trend that is coming through this season. Try and mix up dried grasses and bright florals to add depth and colour to your room, this will bring a sense of nature into your home, creating a calm and peaceful space.

Another way to bring this trend into your home would be to add natural textures through accessories. Reclaimed wood and beautiful second-hand pieces will give your space a new lease of life. You can also incorporate fabrics made from natural fibres. Here at Collins and Hayes our designers have worked closely with specialist mills to provide a collection of luxurious natural fibre fabrics, as well as full and semi-aniline leathers for your home.

Mixed Metals

Add another element to your space by incorporating different metals, such as gold, silver or copper. They could be used as accents on door handles, or if you’re looking to make a bigger impact, choose to style your room with stylish metal tables or ornaments. These inviting tones will be sure to add a snug feel to your space.

Here we have styled Lavinia with silver metal tables and gold accents to give a luxurious and stylish finish. These hues add a subtle sense of warm to the space, perfect for the colder nights. We have paired them with neutral accessories which make the colours of the metals shine through.
